Artist's Comments

in the fading light of the autumn sun
by the water I saw you again
and you whispered your dreams to the rose on the sea
and the sky was on fire again

and you stayed with me beneath the fire in the sky
and we watched the dawn together
and I'll stay with you if it takes sea of roses
I will stay with you...

Software Used: Maya | Software Renderer | Photoshop

Description: Hello friends. Here is my newest work. Created with using Maya and Photoshop. This is a new technic I learned for creating realistic ocean surface - two different ocean shaders connected together with one layered shader. I learned this from the tutorial of Peter Shipkov - please have a visit o his site. I painted this planets and birds on Photoshop before and I used them several times. I think they fit nicely to this composition too. Not a free model or stock photo used. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for your kind words. Planets, birds and starfield done in Photoshop. Ocean surface made with displacement maps and layared ocean shaders. I love hard stuff ! :headbang:

Sweet :)

Your good with c4d, any idea how i would go about making a explosion animation? ive tried pyros and emitters, but they take ages to render and only.. well, they go upward, i need an outward effect :p

As I know the the best solution is particles (it is, on Maya at least). Renders can took ages - it depends on your CPU speed and memory. What is the current configuration you use ?
