That's the beautiful part of St. Antuan church. People lighting candles and making wishes. It's a sweet and beautiful feeling that people are believing something higher than them, even in this era which scepticism come into some sort of fashion.

Once again, I love the colors. Plus, you apparently own a very awesome camera. I love your photos!

In Catholic Church, we light small candles for our deceased ones and pray for them. That's why this picture makes me a bit sad despite the warm colors.

Thank you so much. I was using Fujifilm S200EXR while shooting these - it really an awesome camera compared to its prize and techies. It's actually a compact dSLR-like camera with a small sensor but as pro as its dSLR rivals.

I like churches and other environments like that (mosques etc.) They have some serene atmosphere on them. We suppose to pray with a certain bliss in our hearts but we turn your face to God only saddest moments. But we got answers all the time... On moments like these I realize that I couldn't be exist at all without faith.

I sometimes regret that I don't have a professional camera. But usually when I find a beautiful scene I want to take a photo of, I only came there by chance and have no camera with me whatsoever. That's when the crappy cellphone pictures get taken....
But seems that you struck a bargain there with your camera.

I have to agree with you about the atmosphere in churches (can't really talk about mosques or synagogues because I've never been inside one). But not every church has this spiritual atmosphere about it. I find it sad when it doesn't.

And yes, we really only pray when we need help, don't we? I usually receive help and sometimes I feel very undeserving of so much kindness when all I do is ask and ask and ask. I make an effort to thank God for his help and all the good things that happen to me. It's easy to just be happy and completely forget that you had prayed for such an outcome. I try to remember that I shouldn't take the good things in my life for granted. Plus, I want my relationship with God to be a friendship instead of as an means to an end for me to help me when I need help.

Hm...I sometimes wonder what I'd be like without my faith, if I'd have a different personality (since I was raised based on Christian ethics). I really don't know. But I think I'd be a sad person.

Wow, you really got me started there. :blush: Sorry for the super long post.
